The Ebony finish is a little darker than the Walnut finish. This one has been well cared for and it shows. Oaklawn Cloud Badge! These don't show up very often.
They are not from the drum being hit. Some small spots where the lacquer has flaked off. The original finish is in very good condition for the age. Muffler is present and functions as it should. Badge is in excellent condition and has not been tampered with.

The only blemish is on the backside of the drum. The floor tom finish is stunning.near mint. The worst area is near the rail consolette. A true survivor! The tom and bass drum have some very fine checking. Oaklawn badges! 8x12 14x14 and 14x20 Clear maple finish! They usually don't age this well. I've kept these in my smoke-free home.
The toms have the desirable. The vast majority of Camco 60s Oaklawn kits were sparkles and satin flames. It wasn't until the early 70s that maple finish kits started taking off. Clear maple Oaklawn kits are a rare find.
The factory bearing edges are superb. Badges have not been tampered with. The interiors are exceptionally clean.
The bass drum rering is shown in the pic. I'm sure it's an easy fix with glue and clamps, but they're perfectly fine the way they are, so I never wanted to bother with them. And it doesn't cause any problems whatsoever. This is very common with Camco shells.
These shells sing like no tomorrow! No funny business with these drums. They sound great either way. You can tune them high for that bebop sound, or low for rock. Because of the way the heads float on these beautiful shells. How do they sound? Truly amazing! Many vintage drums only have one or two sweet spots.
